2007 NW NSTRA Regional Trial

This years Regional was again held at the Fuller Ranch near Kennewick, WA. Unusual spring weather brought green grass, cool weather and wind, making near ideal conditions for dog and handler alike. In all fifty-two dogs competed on two fields on Saturday with twelve dogs advancing from each field to Sunday’s quarterfinals. Judging duties were handled by region members; Jeff Funke, Jim Shank, Jack Richardson and Jerry Youmans, the four “J’s”. The birds were expertly placed by Alex Messner.

With only thirteen braces and time to spare, the Regional Meeting was held after the trial. Following the general meeting, a steak feed was prepared by the Three Rivers Bird Dog Club.

Sunday morning dawned cool and breezy. Three dogs would advance from each field of six braces each. The top six dogs advancing to the semi-final round;

After a short rest break, braces were drawn and handlers put into the blind. The semi finals were run on only one field. Results are as follows;
